Hi folks... I hope this is the right forum for video editing, I get the impresson that the imaging forum is for still images only.
I've recently started to create DVDs from home recordings etc. I had Nero 6 so was using that, and then bought Pinnacle Studio 10 (mainly because it was the only way I could find to buy the input device that I needed). I've now found that they were conflicting, so my first instinct is to un-install the Pinnacle and just use the Nero - both because I'm used to it and because I find it does more of what I need. I've got a couple of questions...
1. has anyone got any idea if the Nero will be able to use the Pinnacle input device if I've removed the Pinnacle program (it's a connector to allow me to input either composite video or S-video through USB, I think it's the 500USB connector)
2. has anyone got any feelings on whether I'm doing the right thing using Nero instead or Pinnacle for video editing, or are there hidden depths to the Pinnacle that I hadn't found that make it better?
Cheers for any help or advice, Moose.
