I ran a free reg cleaner fixed a few problems.Then ran another one that was'nt free it found 1 problem.

High Priority:value is invalid-set to delete
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\Current version\explorer\shell folder

Admimistrative tools=C:\\WINDOWS\start menu\programs\Administrative tools

I found this link but running win98 and not upgrading to xp and dont have nortons

Could someone knowledgable with registry advise how to fix it .ty

Advising us whether you are using Windows 98/98SE or Windows ME might have resulted in a quicker response. Windows 98/98SE and Windows ME have different methods for restoring the registry and fixing other problems. Anyway, I am glad to see you got the problem fixed.

EasyCleaner 2.0.6.380 is a good free registry to use and was just updated. Stay away from RegSeeker 1.35.1203 because it has not been updated in over a year and it tends to "break" Microsoft programs.

I have used previous versions of easy cleaner,it worked good except the duplicate file section,if you delete them, you may find that weeks later you really needed them.
