Okay so I want to setup a website using my dynamic IP at home, just to see how it works. I'm trying the follow the instructions written on this page: http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=1774&page=5 However, the article (one of the few that say you can use a dynamic IP) is a few years old and made for WinXP but I'm using Vista and Win 7 so the instructions don't make sense. Can some one please explain how to do the instructions (written on that page) on Windows 7 rc?

When using internet at home, maybe you didn't have a dynamic IP, your IP changes everytime you connect to the internet, so you should rent a dedicated IP from your ISP or use a software which updated your IP automatically, it's very useful for the security of your website.

Hey,

You should post your question in Network forum - you're in the web development section here which is more about coding websites etc...

You'll get a better reponse there
