Need a good free PDF app that merges multiple files into one

I need to do this periodically, not huge numbers of files/jobs. Just a few here and there where I need to combine 7-10 PDFs into one merged file. Adobe Acrobat wants money, so do others. What is my best option? If I MUST, I'll pay. Note: I need NO other functions/bells/whistles; just merge a few files here and there. Thanks for any advice!

Do not know if this is free - Says it is.
Tried this: lets you get well into the process, then you find you can't continue until you buy.

Did you try PDF24? You can either merge .pdfs online or install the application and do it offline. I tried it yesterday. You just drag and drop a bunch of .pdfs and then save the merged document to a new .pdf file. It does a bunch of other stuff too.

Yes! Tried that after SAM and PDF24 worked right away. Easy to use, got the job done instantly. It will be my go-to from now on. Lots of capability for sure. Thanks!

Note: I'd tried Adobe and one other, super easy to use, etc., but they don't want to give their product away (imagine that), so you have to jump through hoops, 1-2 files then you're done for the day....I am now a dedicated, loyal user of PDF24. :)
