Mystery of the blank monitor
I have finished building a computer but I cannot get a signal on my monitor, easy enough right? Nope. I have replaced GPU, CPU, mobo, HDMI, and I triple checked all plugs are in and tight everything is getting power. But sadly my monitor refuses to even recognize a computer is even on. I've searched for a solution for weeks now and I've asked friends, Reddit, and even best buy and now I hope this group of people can put this PC limbo to an end.

lunarlander, my motherboard doesn't have a light but all the fans spin, power is reaching everywhere.If the motherboard has a light on the board, does it light up?

Do you have an old GPU ? Insert that and test if you see a screen. If it works then it means that your new GPU is defective.
