I copied (Ghosted?) Files from a HDD that had some problems onto a WD 80 gig using the supplied software. I have found one small problem. When you boot up and loads windows completely, it opens a window with the title of new folder and it is empty. I have unchecked every thing in startup with no luck I hope someone can help.

Why not try start>search for "new folder".

Hi,

Open the Registry by going to Start => Run and typing in "regedit" {without the quotes}

Navigate to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SoftwareE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

In the right-hand pane, check the Value of string Userinit

See if it looks like this:
C:\windows\system32\userinit.exe,c:\windows\system32\userinit.exe

If it does, and before making any changes, go to File => Export and save the 'Selected Branch' to a suitable location with a suitable name.
Then...

Right-click on Userinit and Modify its Value to:
C:\windows\system32\userinit.exe
