I can't get my screensaver to activate. I've set it to 1 minute as I troubleshoot but whatever I've tried doesn't work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciative.

usually that indicates some process is active in the background.

Check with Task Manager.

I monitor my processes and their idle.

You don't have a wireless USB mouse do you?

go to Display Properties, Screen Saver, select the one you want and click Preview... if the preview works then there is an active background program, or something attached to your computer such as a printer, or scanner, or mouse is keeping active.

I disconnected the wireless mouse. I have no printer or scanner connected. Do you any other recommendation? I'll kept trying your recommendations until the problem is resolve and then I'll post it.
