I notice that you have installed zone alarm. If not install Zone Alarm and 2 other programmes called Ad-aware v.1.05 and the recently released microsoft antispyware beta from www.pcworld.com . I have used microsoft antispyware which microsoft bought over from Giant Anti-spyware which I found to be very good. Run these 3 programmes and see if if improves things.

Thanks for the info, yes i run Zone Alarm and also Ad-ware mircrosoft antispyware beta is not for windows 98. thanks anyway.Bill any other takers?

How about these 2 anti-spyware:

1) BAZOOKA (Download from http://www.kephyr.com/spyware). This one has a small file and is quite powerful.
2) SpywareBlaster (Download from www.majorgeeks.com) From this site under anti-spyware, you can run down the list and select programs you fancy can solve your problem.
