Hi and Welcome to TSG!
Most computers, go into hibernation after about 6 hours of doing nothing.
TO change this go to start > control panel > power options > then the hibernation tab > then uncheck the box.
return to the first tab and set those settings up how you like.

Kind Regards
Anthony

when normally on my PC, the screen save will come on after 10 minutes of doing nothing and then after another 10 minutes of doing nothing it will go into hibernation but i can wake it up by just moving the mouse, which is what i did this morning but after moving the mouse and notice the light on my monitor was green i realized it was off and had to boot it up again.

Hi,
Hibernation is the state that a computer goes into as default it is normally 6hours of inactivity.
Stand-by is the mode that it goes into where you move your mouse and it comes back on.
If you follow the above steps, and stop it going into hibernation then that will be ok.
Standby is what you want.
Kind Regards
Anthony
