Multiple mouse solutions.

I just got a cool new mouse for Christmas and would like to run it along with the good old family track ball. This isn't a problem except that the software for the new mouse want to uninstall the Logitech control software due to potential conflicts. I'd like to run both programs.

First thought is that I need to install both programs and be able to switch mouse applications as needed.

Another solution I've considered is to start my own account on this computer. I've never had a need to do that and can't find the little details about installing and running separate programs for each account. All I find is info on the personal surfing and desktop settings. Any ideas?

Do you need both software? Both will work with the software, its just the extra functionality if any that the software gives.
Yeah, we do. The track ball has double click functions and such that we're used to.

I think I'm going to have to do the second account to log on to for when I'm gaming and want to use the Sidewinder mouse.
Have you tried uninstalling the good old trackball, install the new mouse, then re-install the good old trackball, maybe reversing the order of the driver installs will make a difference.
