MSWord Prints Envelopes in Green?!

770 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  slurpee55
On my computer only, ms word from the Office XP version cd, is printing envelopes with greenish black ink (kind of varieagated). It's odd. The printer settings are default to auto color, but the font settings in the letter options screen are set to black (they were auto black but I changed it to specific black with the same results).

Ok, I just changed the printer default settings in the control panel to black & white from auto color and I'm still getting the green/black effect.

What's going on? I've never seen this before. Guess it's ok for now - it's only W2's, but most annoying. Not very professional looking.... It's a Lexmark X125.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Given that no printer actually uses just black ink anymore (looks faded compared to black plus a bit of color) - probably red is low, but could also be plugged head(s) on the inkjet. If it is the latter, a cleaning run might fix things, otherwise a new cartridge will.
