msgsrv32?

My mother-in-law has windows 98 and doing some cleaning I believe she deleted her windows file. The only thing her computer does is shows her wall paper. The details are: Caused a general protection fault in module ALSWWT16 AT 0004;00000595 OR 00000587
Does anybody knows what does it mean? and how to take care of it?
