Reboot ind immediatly begin tapping the f8 key repeatedly until a black screen with several options appears. From the list choose command prompt. Then at the C prompt type scanreg /restore and choose a date in the registry backups where the system worked properly.

My mother-in-law has windows 98 and doing some cleaning I believe she deleted her windows file. The only thing her computer does is shows her wall paper. The details are: Caused a general protection fault in module ALSWWT16 AT 0004;00000595 OR 00000587
