Does the mouse work in safe mode? Is is a PS/2? (A usb won't work in safe mode).
mouse freezes on windows ME
I have check the mouse plugs and it is fine. I reboot the computer and my mouse curser is stuck in the middle and will not move. Please help. Everthing else works fine.

No it doesn't work in safe mode, The mouse is a PS/2 MS intellipoint??
I also tried to delete the mouse from the system and have the computer reinstall it as new hardware, doesn't work.
Do you have another mouse you can try?
Let me try it and i'll let you know.
Great I changed back to the original mouse and it worked. Strange because I bought the new ps/2 mouse because the original compac mouse did not work.
