My internet went down and the diagnostic checker from bellsouth told me to reboot, So I did and when it restarted the mouse did not work. The only way I got it to work again was to hit f8 at restart and chose last known good configuration from the screen. My question is: Has this happened to anyone else and what is the way to fix it? Also when my mouse was not working I tried different mouses including usb and the old type green connector mouses.
This has happened to me twice in the last 24 hrs. Any tips?

If it's a mouse with above average capabilities, it may have specific drivers which may have become corrupt. If that's the case, rReload the disk that came with it and reinstall the software.

If it's a mouse that runs on batteries, they may need replacing.
