I created a system repair disk to fix my laptop, but it doesn't boot on startup- instead it goes straight to windows 7 screen.
I think this may be of the boot order in the BIOs. I created an Ophcrack cd just in case i forget my password or someone else does and it is not corrupt but it dowsnt boot on start up
I Also tried to use the F8 button on startup to go to advanced boot menu in order to repair my computer, but it doesn't work. Thanks in advance for your help

Hello omyash and Welcome to TSG!

What is the exact make and model of the computer?

Hit the Windows key + Pause Break Then click Device Manager. Are there any errors there? Best yet is to post a screenshot---> TSG Posting a Screenshot

It could very well be a hardware issue, but lets look at drivers first.

You need to access the bios and set the boot sequence for CD ROM first. Save the changes and try again.
