Hi, i was looking at a motherboard P5WD2 Premium by Asus.
It says it can support ram up do DDR2 800. But then on the bottom, it says it is maximizing the potential of DDR2. So my question is, is DDR2 667-800mhz the new ram, or is it just done by maximizing the potential? With that, can other boards that support up to DDR2 533 suppot up to 800mhz?
i'm kind of talking mumbo jumbo here, hopefully you can understand
thanks. :)

I think it means if you choose to over clock the CPU and memory, it can support speeds to 800Mhz. DDR2 doesn’t run at 800Mhz yet. I think the fastest is 667Mhz PC5400. Its defiantly over-clocking related.

Well they're saying it will reach 800Mhz.

As for if you should buy a high end board, what are you gonna be doing with/to the computer?
