Further to you peoples excellent help I have now got 2 year paid subscription to Spy Sweeper as well as 1 year subscription to PC 1 Click + subscription to Norton 2004 (which failed to pick up 4 viruses when I last contacted you) but I had clicked on a .pif attachment.
Anyway PC much better now but still problems.
1) After boot up it still seems to be busy paging the disk and was seemingly running internet explorer in memory even though no applications were open.
2) Intermittant delay using keyboard and mouse (on a single USB connector) sometimes I can type in several words and the PC will wait then type them on screen in one go or I can click on an icon or command and there will be up to a 10 second wait before anything happens.
You said last time to reinstall the keyboard..How do I do this?
I have brought up my previous trhead but there is no reply botton as it was Solved.
