Why is it that when I'm logged into my Win2k system, all of my power saving settings work fine, but when I log out and the system sits at the "CTL ALT DEL to log in" box, the standard "Windows 2000 box" screensaver kicks after a while and never puts the monitor to sleep? Is there somewhere else I have to adjust settings to put the monitor to sleep after an hour when I'm NOT logged in?
The first thing that comes to mind is that it does not have any personal setting by user to go off so it doesn't know to turn off .. If you wanted it to shut off on the log in you may have to set it in BIOS
