I should know this......but I don't!!
I need to get a new monitor for my nephew's computer...

And I am totally confused about dot pitch??

Which is better......
smaller - 25mm
or larger - 28mm

.25 is more expensive and is flater so it has less glare. .28 is slightly more round and has more glare but are pretty inexpensive moniters.

I dont think dot pitch has anything to do with whether it is flat screen. The lower the dot pitch the better your resolution will be.

That is correct; the lower the number or dot pitch the better. The refresh rate is also an issue; a higher refresh rate results in less eyestrain.

IMHO, it's always worth spending the extra money on a better monitor.
