Hey, I have a problem with my pc not starting up correctly.:(
When i turn on my pc, everything seems to be normal but the monitor is on, but will show "No Signal" and will go into sleep mode. I believe it may be my graphics card which is the problem but i am unsure, I have a GeForce 7800. I have removed my GeForce and when I now start up my system I get a long bleep followed by 2 short ones, which I have searched to find means "Display adapter problem (MDA, CGA)" problem. When I have my graphics card in, the system starts up and the GeForce fan is working, however there is no activity on the screen and the hard drive indicator (red LED on front) stops lighting up after 10 seconds approx. Is there just a problem with my graphics card or may it be my RAM etc? Any suggests on how I can trouble shoot this problem or any steps I can take?
Thank-you in advance.
Vince.

(unplug computer before going in)
Take the card and push it into the slot and remove it 7-8 times to remove any oxidation that may have built up.
Make sure you firmly push the card into the slot.
Check all connections to the monitor?
Does the graphic card need to be plugged into the power supply?
Check the monitor cord for damage, mouse chewing, rubbing ext..
Try another monitor or try monitor on another computer.
Same for video card try another or try it in another computer.
Replace with a known good video card,

Friend of mine had a similiar problem, turned out to be a corrupt registry.
I would leave computer plugged in and be touching case when working inside, unless you have the proper static gloves or band etc...
