Mobile Processor Shootout

Quick question everyone.... only because I do not know much about mobile processor technology.

When doing a little price shopping, it looks like I can land an Athlon-M processor (2600+) for just about a $150 less than a Pentium-M (2.4ghz)

Im much more familiar with the world of desktops, where I normally tend to go with the Intels, but in this case I would most definately jump on the Athlon for the dollar savings.

Anyone have any expierence with the AMD mobiles? Pro's? Cons?

I once had a Compaq laptop with a XP-M 2000 which ran very well. My brother owns it now.

I've also heard in the past month or so that many people are using the AMD XP-M 2500 CPU in their desktops to overclock. Apparently, they don't have locked multipliers and they use less power.
