Missing text when printing?

Sometimes when trying to print a document, specifically from Excel, we are experiencing "missing text" that is in the document, you can see it in Print Preview, but it will not print. Cells around this text print fine. Cells are not merged, even copied to a new workbook will not print, so workbook corruption shouldn't be it. I've checked all the cell options, used the format painter to replicate cells that print correctly, nothing. Not everything is affected, it is spotty at best, but annoying. Any ideas?

Specs: Windows XP, sometimes 98, Office 2000. Oki 7200C Printer

Thanks,

Drew

You say the problem only occurs sometimes? Has the workbook in question ever printed correctly? Does this problem only relate to information contained in this specific workbook or have you seen this problem with other non-related workbooks in the past? Have you tried printing the workbook in question from another workstation or even to another printer? Have you tried selecting all the cells in the range you would like to print and choosing "Print Selection." from the file --> print menu ?

What is contained in the cells (text, number, etc.) Is there anything different about what is contained in those specific non-printing cells than the other cells in the workbook (i.e. - different font, etc.) Are these non-printing cells grouped close together or spread out across the workbook page and are the missing cells close to the page margins?

Are you sure that your printer in question is compatible with XP and the most current drivers are being used?
