Missing Playlists

338 Views 6 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  ottiliegirl
Using Windows 11. Yesterday I added 5 songs to iTunes. Today I found that three playlists are missing. I'd be grateful for any thoughts anyibe might have. I do have a second computer with all playstists in place if that is a way to replace the missing songs but I'm not sure that is the best way to go about this. Thank you. Ottiliegirl

Are they on the same account signed in? Do you have an apple device that also sees the same list?
My iTunes is on 2 PC's, & 4 iPods - No other devices. To my knowledge no login is necessary on any of the iPods. Both PC's are on the same account. Llogin and password are the same on both PC's but I don't have to login every time. Thank you.

I think something has gotten confused with my problems with iTunes. I see I asked a question here back in February regarding iTunes and playlists.. That problem was resolved by iTunes and has no relation to my current playlist issue.

I sent in my current playlist problem and was asked a question which I answered and have heard nothing yet.

So, again here is my problem. I added 5 new songs to iTunes on Monday,March 27th. On Tuesday when I opened iTunes, 3 of my 26 playlists were missing . Your tech asked me about my account info and I told him I have iTunes on two laptops and 4 iPods. They all use the same account information and password. The iPods do not have passwords. I do have my 5,000 songs on both laptops. I could copy the list to a USB and send full lists from one computer to the other but I am not sure that constitutes a complete transfer. Does anyone have more information about how to solve this problem? Today I called iTunes and spent almost an hour with their support department. When the woman got stuck on what to do she put me on hold. When she came back her answer was that "since the lists were not songs I had purchased through them, they were considered third party and they could do nothing". I have never had a problem that was not solved by your techs I hope someone can help again. Thank you all for reading this and for whatever help you can offer. It will be much appreciated.
