Missing "iCloud Outlook Add-in" from MS365 Outlook email App

Apologies if I have used the wrong forum ................... I couldn't find an iCloud forum!

My wife rarely useds her HP Win10 PC for email as her iPad Air does all that but ................. yesterday she opened up the MS365 Outlook App on the PC and all the contacts/calenders had disappeared! I've been down this road myself and there are neverending posts via Google on the same issue, seems very common.

It appears that the ICLOUD OUTLOOK ADD-IN is missing from the ADD-INS, I have checked that menu via Outlook x File x Options x Add-ins and most definitely not there.

I completely uninstalled iCloud plus iCloud Outlook via the Conrol Panel x Programs and Features, reinstalled it quite OK from the MS Store App and all went well except the above ADD-IN is still missing so as a consequence there is no way that I can get the contacts/calenders back via the iCloud Settings even though that box is checked.

There are numerous posts on this issue and many include playing around in the Registry with the APLZOD.dll file but not keen on going there really. Nonetheless, I did use regedit and searched for that .dll file but no success (it does pop up on my PC however using regedit) So a dumb question if I may, is it possible (if I have to) to copy my registry key and add it to hers via regedit? Desperate thinking I know and no idea how to do it anyway!

So, somehow I have to get this ADD-IN back again! I contacted MS support who said it was an Apple issue, called Apple who said it was an MS issue so that achieved nothing!

Any advice or suggestions welcome, thanks all!

Thanks for the reply and yes, first thing I did but as long as the ICLOUD OUTLOOK ADD-IN is missing there's no way they'll ever sync! Very common problem and solutions scarce on the ground.

Apologies for my delay in marking this problem as solved and thanks for everybody's responses.

I spent 90 minutes with Apple support who eventually decided it was an issue for MS to solve. Then spent a couple of days chatting to them, three support team agents tried everything they could think of but still nothing.

Eventually a very switched on guy did a remote access session on the PC and finally decided there was a corrupt registry file somewhere. After that he totally lost me as he flashed from screen to screen and after some 60 minutes, voilĂ , it all became solved and I have no idea what he did!

Lots of uninstalling/reinstalling etc etc and the only thing lost was a bunch of email folders where my wife stored various stuff from the inbox and no, she never backed up Outlook or archived anything ……. she will now!

Thanks again all!
