Hello

I have an IBM Thinkpad T22 laptop. I am running Windows 2000 Professional on it. This is a work pc which is connected to a domain.

Recently I had the pc rebuilt (on a new hard drive). Now I see that there are no options to Standby or Hibernate.

This is no Hibernate option in the power settings in the control panel.

I've seen this problem before but never been able to resolve it.

I've tried this article:

http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...port/kb/articles/q266/1/69.asp&NoWebContent=1

To be honest its a nightmare to complete...but I did it and found no resolution.

Anyone had this problem before?
Please tell me its a registry setting or Bios setting?

Suggestions welcome.

It's most likely to be a BIOS Setting

Get into your BIOS and find Power Management Setup.

You should find the option for ACPI there
