I downloaded Battlefield 2142 demo. installed it and tried to run it.

the problem comes when I tried to start the game, I get an error msg saying That I don't have a file named d3dx9_29. I believe that this is a file from the game itself.

I tried reinstalling the game and when that failed I tried downloading it again. but that did not work too. the reason I don't believe this as a windows file is because the error msg suggested me to reinstall the game.

any ideas where I can just get that file without re downloading it?

thank you for your help
