Micro SD card file problems

495 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  2twenty2
I currently have a 64 GB SanDisk micro SDcard that whenever I attempt to open the drive it prompts me with "You need to format the disk in drive E: before you can use it. Do you want to format it?" I need all or most of the files in the card, so wiping the drive isn't an option.

I was using the SDcard for my new3dsxl and whilst transferring files, it could not be read by my 3ds nor my computer. Help is extremely appreciated-thanks in advanced!

The max size microSDHC card for you New 3DS XL appears to be 32gb and the max size for a microSD is 2gb. That is why the 64gb card is not working.
