hi,
I no there's not much anyone can do about this problem, but how can i copy my healthy version of my 'MFT Mirror' and repair the original with the Mirror? Are there any programs that will do just that, not data recovery? chkdsk keeps saying it can't read the volume status or version, so thats no good.

Luckily the hard drive concerned doesn't have an OS on it, and is external USB (USB to IDE).

Can anyone help? I've been crawling the whole internet looking for a cure...

If I remember correctly, Norton Disk Doctor would do that ( I'll have to dig mine out to check)...
