Recently I got, blasted by Kim Kommando. I downloaded one of her free offers for an internet privacy protection program that was supposed to delete any history files on my drive. This rogue program is called, Free History Cleaner. For two weeks all sorts of, 'Pop Up' ads suddenly started appearing on my browser. Apparently, 'Free History Cleaner' installed some sort of Trojan tracking device because Norton Antivirus finally decided to eliminate it.
The problem I have, now, is that bits and pieces of this rogue program are still hanging around. One of the nasty things it did is modify my Internet Explorer Menu Bar: It added the name, Free History Cleaner to the, Tools, Drop-Down List.
I need to know how to remove this item from the drop down list. So far nothing I read about or tried has worked. Thanks and remember to beware free offers from Kim Kommando!
(I should have known better than to trust someone who hides her e-mail address so that you can't communicate with her directly; and what's with this name, 'Kommando'?)
