Memory Integrity cannot be turned on

I have attempted to do this before with no luck. Hoping someone has experienced the same and solved it.

At the bottom of my Device Security Page, there is a message saying, "Your device meets the requirements for standard hardware security."

In the Device Security>Core isolation page, the message is “Memory integrity is off. Your device may be vulnerable.” When I try to turn it on, I get the message, "Memory integrity can't be turned on. Try resolving any incompatibilities with your drivers."

The attempt to resolve incompatible drivers produces this list:
  • usb2ser.sys MediaTek Inc.
  • wdcsam64_prewin8.sys Western Digital Technologies
  • usb2ser.sys MBB

None of the three appears in Device Manager>Universal Serial Bus Controllers, although there are two devices, both marked, "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)."

The first thing to do is to go to windows update and check optional updates
see if you have any offer of a driver for Media Tek

the third entry on the list is also media tek

Re the second entry
wdcsam64_prewin8.sys Western Digital Technologies
Re this one also check updates but if that does not get you anywhere please see this
WD Drivers causing vulnerability on most of the computers: wdcsam64_prewin8.sys - WD External Drives / WD Portable Drives - WD Community

if there is still no progress towards turning on memory integrity
when you reply I will offer other suggestions

The first thing to do is to go to windows update and check optional updates

rather than update driver in device manager

Offended? Certainly not – I’m grateful for the interest in the problem.
I did visit Pureinfotech. *Advanced Options>Optional Updates shows four Optional Updates:
2023-09 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5030651)
Realtek-SoftwareComponent - 11.0.6000.305
Realtek-SoftwareComponent - 1.0.636.0
Realtek-AudioProcessingObject - 13.0.6000.1097

download sysinternals autoruns please

Autoruns for Windows - Sysinternals | Microsoft Learn
save the file to your desktop

Then right click the zip file and click extract all
check that it is going to extract to a folder on your desktop

Then open that folder and right click the autoruns application file
click run as admin

A window will open click the DRIVERS on the two row list
it is normally on the lower row and has an icon of a computer

WAIT for the list to fully populate
NOW examine the list and see if you can find the entry for those three drivers listed on the incompatibility
If you can and ensure please you have defdinitely identified them - uncheck the tick box tothe loeft by clicking once on it - the tick mark will disappear.

Now close the autoruns window. Restart the computer and check if you can now enable memory integrity
