I am running ME and I have recently upgraded to WMP9. When I attempt to use radio tuner WMP tries to find some files and gives the message that a component is not available for this system. Unfortunately the message was not informative enough to mention which component it needed. Radio Tuner was working fine in my previous version. Is the only solution, returning to my previous version?

Once you open WMP to to tools / options / file types and make sure Windows Audio is checked. These are the ones I have checked:

Filewasp, my file types are all checked, but this does not seem to make a difference, in my case.

You might try re-installing right over the old one. I would go to Trend.com and run their free virus scan first since it's a good thing to do once in a while anyway. SpyBot and AdAware are good malware scans also.

I have tried reinstalling with no success.

You may want go ahead and roll back tothe original version then. That's done in add remove (you knew that) You can always try again afterwards. Good Luck
