Ive been having MASSIVE WDM issues w/ my computer. I'll post the problem first, and then my specs at the bottom.
I have errors all over the place when running Sandra Pro 04. What do I do to fix these?:
(in device manager, I have "device cannot start, code 10" for ATI WDM Rage Theater Audio, ATI WDM Rage Theater Video, and ATI WDM TV Audio Crossbar, and no matter how many times I re-install the drivers, I still get these errors in device manager)

I have errors all over the place when running Sandra Pro 04. What do I do to fix these?:
You don't really have massive problems. Sandra and AIDA32 are both programs that will let you know that things can be better with certain things being done. An example is: Warning 2507 : Mainboard has too few memory slots. Upgrading the memory may be difficult or expensive.

If you're motherboard has just two slots then it has two slots. Sandra is looking at a perfect world where everyone has the best mobo.

Something like this: Warning : 1.44MB 3.5" (A : Cannot obtain drive information; check that a disk is in the drive and it is correctly formatted
isn't a problem as long as your floppy is working. Floppy drives are basically generic and won't be named like your hard drive(s).

What does this mean, please describe.
MASSIVE WDM issues

basically I dont care about any of the errors unless they can help with my video capture capability. Ive tried just about everything, so running that test made me question some of the components of my system. I really would like my video card to work properly.

Why does the program tell me all my memory slots are full when they arent?

lol, I know this isnt "massive" but I really do miss being able to watch TV and directly record video onto my computer. So to me, its massive :D

in the device manager delete the card
reboot pressing f8
from the boot options menu choose
start in vga mode
when windows finishes rebooting and reinstalling the card
then reinstall the drivers
then come back and tell us where we are at with the problem
forget sandra

ok, tried it and rebooted:

booted normally, and EXACT same problems.

i tried booting under vga mode, and when i do, i get an immediate warning message:
The ATI Control Panel failed to initialize because no ATI driver is installed, or ATI driver is not working properly. The ATI control Panel will now exit.

I checked device manager, and the same devices cannot start.

ok, its like the computer doesnt even recognize the install. no matter which way i go, i always get those errors.

durring reboot, it detects the hardware automatically and tries to install the drivers, then says : "an error occured bla bla bla your hardware may not work properly" it does this EVERY TIME, reguardless of me using either the CD, or the downloaded installs from ATI.

Its really like nothing happens at all during the install software. What do I do?

*however.... ALL other software installs just fine, even the ATI software. Its only the WDM capture drivers that are having the problems. I really have no idea as to what to do

Just checking...there was also an alternat driver location and installation procedure for the Detonator driver set. You might want to go to the Rage3D.com web site and check their forums as actual ATI driver developers frequent that site.

:) Try the steps listed HERE . I've found that many times it is best to start over using a fresh approach.

Good luck.
