We need to map a network drive from one server to another, and make it appear local on the second machine. Any suggestions??

The IBM UniVerse application we're using only wants to save log files to a local drive; however we want them stored on a second machine in case of a failure of the first. Drives C, D, and E are available for storing these logs, but the mapped network drives X, Y, and Z do not appear in UniVerse's file browser.

We tried dropping a link from the Z into E and having it log to E:\LOG (really Z:\LOG) but UniVerse just erased the link and created a new directory named LOG, and put the log files there (on E).

Is there any way to tweak or fool Windows Server 2003 into showing the network drives as local??
