I was having problems with computer and finally decided to just reinstall drivers, then windows xp. It walks me thru the complete process then at the very end it gives me

"The file VGA.SYS is corrupted" please press any key to continue..

I do and it reboots only to the same.

I have tried safe mode but will not boot it goes once again to the above mentioned screen.
I have tried several modes which all take me to the same.
I am unaible to bring anything but this screen up.
Luckely I have access to another computer for help but so far I am unaible to locate any.

Any suggestions at this point are much appreciated.
Thank You

If memory serves me correctly, that is the Windows System file for video. You could try copying that file back into the System 32 folder.
