Hey everyone...I am having a problem that is rather frustrating. Everytime i leave my computer for a few minutes, I get a pop-up error message that reads "Could not find the Macromedia Flash". I've done google searches to find a solution but nothing!! Thanks in advance!!

Try a different screen Saver

I have had the same screen saver for a few years and never had this trouble. It seemed to start when i installed a new version of adobe flash player.

Can you try rolling back to before you installed the new version of adobe flash player....and that would tell you for sure if it was it.

i will give that a try...I was thinking that it might have soemthing to do with the name being changed from Macromedia Flash PLayer to Adobe Flash PLayer. Is my computer possibly looking for something called Macromedia when it should be looking for Adobe?

It's probably because that's a old screen saver and has not been updated to run in the new player.

it was actually a screensaver i downloaded from HBO.com...Entourage Screensaver. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it from the web site...well see if that helps

I did a system restore point to an earlier date and that took care of the problem.

Yah when Adobe bought Macromedia they made a few quarky changes to the way Flash works that can cause a few conflicts. I'm certain the reinstall fixed your problem.

I had the same error message. It occured when the screensaver tried to come on. I did a system restore to a month earlier and it took care of the problem.
