Just reinstalled Windows XP Pro for the 3rd time because i keep getting these annoing windows telling me that: LSA shell (export version) has encountered a problem, then it ask me to send report problem or not to Microsoft, after i click don't send or send, a minute later i get this other window telling me that : LSASS.exe located in : c:\windows\system32\lsass.exe needs to shut down in a minute.......nothing i can do...it's driving me crazy, please anyone has a cure to this.....

That depends how you are reinstalling it. What do you do?

Try scanning with the Symantec tool to see if it finds anything.

On that Symantec link I gave you above, scroll down to where it has the download of FxSasser.exe. That is the removal tool for that particular virus. It may be that virus or another, but using that tool will tell you. The directions for running it are there, too. Basically, you turn off all the programs you can, turn off System Restore, and click on the file.

How exactly did you reinstall? If you are re-infecting yourself, we should determine how.
