well, are you using a home computer or a work computer?

Also if you are talking about the Games folder that has Solitaire, Freecell etc? If so then you don't need the windows cd. But first is the computer at home or work. If the latter the procedure may not work due to admin rights etc.

Control Panel > Add - Remove Programs > Windows Components. Double click Accessories then make sure that Games is checked. If it is, then uncheck it, restart then go back and recheck it.

The only reason I put the confused face is that there no message from you except a copy of my last post.

Lastly I asked if you are on a home or work computer. if you are on a work computer then this may not work..

Windows components is on the left side. Its proper name is Add / Remove Windows Components. To start from the top, just to make sure we are on the same page:

1. Go to the Control Panel by clicking Start then Control Panel.
2. Double click on Add / Remove Programs.
3. On the left, click on Add / Remove Windows Components.
4. Once the information is loaded double click on Accessories
5. You will see Accessories and Games. If Games has a check in the box, uncheck it. Press OK, then press OK again to exit out of the screen. It should reconfigure Windows to take out Games.
6. Repeat steps 1 to 4. When you are back to the screen with Accessories and Games, check the box for Games. Press OK. Press OK again. Windows will then install the components for the games. (Freecell, Solitaire, Spider Solitaire and MineSweeper)

Lastly I asked if you are on a home or work computer...
Is the issue with a computer at work or at home?

Hello Tidus4Yuna.I'm on a home computer with windows xp installed but as you say we are not on the same page. By double clicking on Add/Remove i can only remove programs. There is no Add/Remove Windows Components to click on. I'm really sorry bothering you but my Gamesfolder stays empty. Yours uris48

What happens when you click on the Add/Remove Windows Components link?
What happens when you click on Accessories, and then click Details?
What happens when you put a check mark next to Games and click OK and then Next?

Ok Uris here go's a long one:... You don't need the windows CD but it will take a few steps.. I also have pictures to help.
Make sure the "Games" folder is still where it should be, then do the following.

First pic: select the games you want.. then click ok, ok, and next.

Second pic: when your asked for disk hit OK.

Third Pic: at the box on the left hit "browse", this will open the box on the right. In that box it will give the name of what file it wants. ( In my example it's "spider.chm")
Open a "Search" and find this file.

Fourth pic: When you have the location, browse with the "browse" window to that location, select the file and hit "open" this should put the location in the box. ( like shown in the pic "found file")

Hit OK and the files should install without the CD... :D I hope this is easy enough to understand, and that it will work for you.

Again you may need to do this multiple times but they all should work.

humm... that is very odd.. You started a new search, and it auto finds the last file you looked for...???? And to be sure you typed the exact file name with the extension, right? Like my example "spider.chm", if you just search for "spider" it may list all sorts of things or not even the right one...

Also be sure to look for these options...
