Somehow the line that you put web sites -- after the http --has disappeared. I'm sure that there's a simple way to get it back but I'm new to WIN XP. Can someone help.

I think you are talking about the address bar in a web browser???

You did not mention what browser you are using. For Internet Explorer 6, right click in any other visible menu bar and then make sure that "Address Bar" is checked in the box that pops up. This may work for other versions of Internet Explorer.

The line I mean is where you put the web address where you want to go. I clicked where u suggested and checked "address" but all I got was the word address. there was no box before the "address" was enabled - either before or after.

I'm using IE v 6.? -- it came with my WIN XP that I got from Dell in mid-November. BTW _ NEVER buy DELL unless you intend to do everything yourself. I'll never buy their stuff. Their so-called support is TERRIBLE.

I have had the best support from Dell as compared to other PC companies. Then again, our company has a corporate account with them.
