Last nite while cleaning my system in "XP Clean disk", while it went through the "Compressed Files" portion, my Norton anti-virus engaged and picked off "Download Trojan" virus (I E explorer was the identified O.S.). I immediattly did a system scan, CW schredder, reg seeker, and deep scan adaware. Found nothing. System is running fine.
QUESTION. How could this virus make it to "the end of the line" without being detected? I clean just about everything except reg seeker daily and only had been to 2 sites, this one and another where I read a discussion groups messages? Just trying to figure where I went wrong. Shouldn't the alert come earlier? Like if an email entered my in box, or I surfed in stormy waters?
Thanks
Bobby
