Please read carefully:
My C615 web cam (which I seldom use) has suddenly stopped allowing me to take/save photos.
It provided a live view but there was no option to take/save a photo. I have gone to the Logitech website several times and also their "Chat" section for software/driver downloads. The website and "Chat" both tell me there is no support for the C615. It worked great about six months ago approximately, when I last used it.
I would prefer not to purchase a replacement since this one worked very well and I rarely need or want to use a web cam.
Even if Logitech no longer provides support for the device I would think that the software/drivers that worked before would still be usable (and downloadable).

I was using Logitechs software before it stopped allowing me to click PHOTO and save the picture. I uninstalled and reinstalled it several times (three if I recall). I tried finding software on the Logitech website but it said no downloads for that camera. The camera is a bit old but provided sharp clear photos and videos.

I reconnected the camera again today (USB) and tried again. I found a similar topic on this site that provided directions on using a UPV driver. That works but the photos are not nearly so crisp and clear as they were with the Logitech software.
I am not sure what the "Windows Camera App" is unless it is the one under the Control Panel Devices section, which is what I click on now to get a photo.....I did place it on my bottom of the screen taskbar to allow easier access.

For Gr3iz: Yes that is how I did the reconnect and selected the UPV driver option.

I now have the web cam and can use it for photos/videos again. Still I much preferred the Logitech camera app that I had before.

I just happen to have a Logitech C615 in a box on the table next to me.

Downloads for the C615 only shows the Camera Settings app. It no longer shows an app to take photos and videos. However, a little searching showed a link to Logitech Webcam Software. It work in Windows 10/11 but hasn't been updated since 2012. You can photos and videos with it.

I believe I have it "under control (smile). The file directory as you show it does not match up with mine, but I did find the photos that I tested with. Thanks and I'll see if I can mark this one solved.
