All of a sudden when I start up my computer I get a page up that asks me to click on user name.... I never had this before. I have to click on my name before it will load my desktop. How can I set this back to the way it use to be - where I didn't have to click on any name and the desktop would just come up automatically?

I would use the program TweakUI: Found Here: http://tinyurl.com/h8zs

Go ahead and install the program. When finished the program will show up under Start>All Programs>Powertoys for Windows XP>TweakUI

When the program is running you will see a listing on the left side. Logon will be one of them. Click the + next to it. You should now see Autologon, go ahead and click this. A screen on the right should have the option Log on automatically at system startup. Check the box and enter your username in the box. You can also set a password if you want. Click Apply and try a reboot. It should work.

Thank you - thank you - thank you! It worked. What a great way to fix it. What else do you use that program for? Any suggestions?
You can get rid of XP Baloon messages, the arrows on any added icons, put Windows Icons like My Computer on desktop and sooo much more.
