Hello and thank you for your time,
basically I have a Blank Desktop ,no start menu, it flashes for 2 seconds
then it's gone, i am using task manager, i want to log in as a different
user to see if i can get it back, but i cant access my control panel ,
i have run anti virus, spyware and nothing has come up.
my operating system is windows 2000 pro , plus i dont have the windows cd to
re-install.. any help would be appreciated i have tried everythink please Help
how can i log on as a different user? to see if it will bring it back...

start run type, control userpasswords2
you may need to do this from safe mode pressing f8 on start up

thanks for reply but i have no desktop
i tried control 2 but nothing happened
im running windows 2000 pro, and can only open programs from the taskbar
i cant open my control panel , i dont know how to change users

file/ new task
type in explorer.exe

thank you ,but it does not work for win 2000 , which OS can i use
for an in place Upgrade? because i dont have the windows 2000 pro cd?

i also tried logging on with different user it did not work explorer.exe is not loading
