If i download updates/patches (ie... WIndows updates) and put them on one place on the network. Is there a way to write a log in script that automaticallys these updates on users machines when they log onto their computer? help....

It all depends on how your nework is configured (Domain or Workgroup) and how the updates need to be installed.

If you have a Domain, and the users are logging into the domain, you can put it in their login script.

If you have a Workgroup it is much more difficult to push these down if steps haven't been taken ahead of time. One way is to have a local batch file in the startup folder that calls another one that is on a central server. This way you can just edit the one on the server.

As far as what to put in the batch file, that would depend on each update and if it can be done that way. If it is just an executable, you could just list them one at a time on each line.
