Hopefully someone out there can help the lost.
Everytime I Download Firefox onto my laptop I lose my internet connection. The desktop and router works, but not on laptop. As soon as I erase it the Internet works again. Everything looks the same, I allowed it in firewall.
Any ideas gratefully appreciated.

Do you mean firefox loses the internet or the whole computer does?

What is your firewall?
Laptop make and model?

Hi
I lose all internet connections. Everything goes. If I am reading e-mail when Firefox is installed I lose the connection unless I un-install it.
I have a Toshiba Satellite M40X, XP Pro Firewall

Try disabling XP's firewall temporarily and see what happens.

No Still Nothing different, it is like Firefox changes the settings somehow.

Try using internet explorer while firefox is installed. You can do this by clicking Start>Run>type in "iexplore", and hit Enter.

If this works, then there is a configuration problem within Firefox. This can happen if you have a manual proxy configuration in IE that has not yet been configured in Firefox.

If it doesn't work, try pinging the router again. If THAT doesn't work, then you should check your network connection settings on your wireless card. Specifically your TCP/IP configuration.
