I've had this lexmark printer for about a year (maybe over). I ran out of ink, and unplugged it for a while, (especially while we were changing residence) After we moved, I plugged the printer back up and placed a new cartridge of ink in it, then proceeded to print the test page.

The test page became jammed in the printer, and I removed it. And every time I tried to print something there after the paper would become jammed, and make a loud humming and grinding noise. I would then get a popup reading paper jam. With futile efforts, I put the printer in my closet where it has been since.

Does anyone know what the problem may be? And is there a simple way to repair it? I would appreciate any help that you may have.

Have you checked if you really got rid of all paper that got stuck?
It sounds like you might have missed some piece when trying to remove the page..?
