Laptop turns on and then instantly turns off

I dropped my laptop yesterday and it was working fine. Today I noticed that beside the power button, the metal had been pushed out. When I go to turn my laptop on it switches on

It's quite possible the button is in a position where it's holding down the control and does a hard shut down. That side needs to be fixed to ensure button is not skewed to the point it's holding the power switch in.

I don't suppose you have an accidental warranty on this machine? With that damaged I am surprised the screen didn't break too!
