I hope I'm in the right place.

My wife got a second hand Compaq Armada 1500c for Christmas. It’s running Windows XP. The problem I’m having is, I cant seem to plug anything into the USB ports or Parallel ports and get them to work. Yesterday I plugged in and set up her printer well windows sees it but it just doesn’t print. I though maybe the ports may be disabled in the Cmos but I can’t get in to the Cmos to check, I’ve tried everything F1,F2,F10,F11, F12 and Delete on start-up.
Nothing seems to get me into the Cmos, I am not getting a flashing curser on start-up it just shows me the Compaq screen then starts windows.

Can any one help me?

Yes... I have Installed the drivers.

I tried Fn Esc

All it does is give me a small white square in the top right side of the screen that says “Bios system 02-01-99” It doesn’t seem to do any thing. I need to get in to the cmos to set the USB and Parallel ports to enable or at leased set the cd rom to read first so I can reformat.

Try holding down F1 whilst you start it up. It should come up with a keyboard error and ask if you want to enter the bios.
