Laptop Freezing / Locking Up

Having an issue with a Dell precision m laptop. It's just had its hard drive upgraded to an SSD (Samsung 840 EVO 1tb) and has been working fine for the last 3 months.
(Just as an FYI: I have performed the performance restoration fix)

Recently it's started randomly locking up. No BSOD or errors in system log. Just completely frozen. Have to hold p/w switch to reboot it. It's been starting to happen more and more frequently.
I'm ~95% sure its not the SSD. Pulled it out and hooked it up to another PC. Ran some SSD test tools and it all passed. Did a image of the disk and all worked fine.

I have run memtest for 24 hours and its found no problems.

I thought it was the sata controller so I switched it over to the other sata bay, thought it had cured it but it's now started coming back. Completely stumped. Is it the motherboard failing? Any other idea's of things I can try?
