Hey all,

A few weeks ago at Microcentter I picked up two KF 253 2.5/3.5 hot swap bays. Basically this one unit fits in a 5.25 bay and provides a 2.5 hard drive slot a 3.5 hard drive slot AND 2 USB 3.0 ports thanks to a 20 pin header connection. Power is provided through ONE SATA power port and data through two sata ports..

Problem is this thing seems to be running out of stock. Microcenter is now out, Newegg and Tiger Direct are out, Fry's never had it to begin with.

My question now is is there a newer model I am missing, or has Kingwin walked away from this wonderful product?

Ya, I see that they still list it on their site and on Amazon, but I like to go and physically pick them up. I was really curious if they had made a second gen model of this, doesn't look like it.
